Origins

From distributor
to manufacturer.

Avant began in 1984 as a computer component distributor. Four decades of acquisitions, engineering investment, and expansion into nearshore production turned the company into the memory subassembly designer and manufacturer it is today.

Where we’re heading
Avant is the last mile of the semiconductor supply chain. Fabs make the silicon — we turn it into the finished part on your loading dock.
As nearshore manufacturing accelerates across the Americas, we’re positioned to help OEMs benefit from the growing regional ecosystem.
Nearshore manufacturing

Closer than offshore. Leaner than reshore.

Manufacturing in Mexico gives Avant stability and direct access to the largest consumer market in the world. Our operations across the United States and Mexico reduce exposure to geopolitical risk, lower freight costs, and place our customers in the same time zone as theirs.

Our factories sit directly across the U.S. border, which means same-day shipping using American logistics — and a supply chain that doesn’t depend on a single ocean crossing or a contested geopolitical lane.

Austin, TX

Engineering headquarters. Forty years of DRAM and NAND program experience, in the same time zone as your engineering team.

Reynosa, MX

Nearshore SMT production. Same-day shipping into U.S. logistics with deep supplier relationships across northern Mexico.

Pharr, TX

U.S.-side SMT production. $4.83M state-funded expansion announced in 2026 — strengthening the domestic semiconductor supply chain.

Capabilities

Seven disciplines.
